SOX Auditor

We are looking for a skilled SOX Auditor to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This remote position is based in Bellevue, Washington, and offers an opportunity to work in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough control testing of business and financial processes while ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed testing and documentation of business and financial processes to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to complete control testing independently and within designated timelines.

• Utilize tools such as Workiva and Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and documentation effectively.

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting by evaluating controls related to ICFR.

• Apply prior experience with SOX testing to identify and address potential risks in business operations.

• Maintain a high standard of work quality with minimal supervision, showcasing strong organizational skills.

• Adapt to the needs of the financial services industry and contribute to process improvements where applicable.

• Communicate findings and insights clearly to relevant teams, fostering a shared understanding of compliance requirements.

• Proven experience in SOX testing, including control testing and documentation.
• Familiarity with ICFR and its application in financial reporting processes.
• Proficiency in using Workiva and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and documentation.
• Strong ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a focused and detail-oriented environment.
• Previous experience in the financial or insurance industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to convey findings and collaborate with teams.
