Robert Half Permanent Placement is partnering with a leading property management company in Williamsville, NY on their search for a Senior Accounting Clerk to join their growing team. In this role you will manage tenant billing, payments, and vendor invoices while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of transactions. This is an in-office position with a starting salary of $60,000 - $70,000, a comprehensive benefits package, and an excellent opportunity for career growth.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Process tenant rent payments and adjustments; manage monthly close of tenant activity
- Maintain Accounts Receivable records, ensuring accurate posting and timely collections
- Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and Accounts Payable payments
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with monthly/quarterly SOX requirements
- Assist with fixed asset tracking, including creation of new assets and running depreciation reports
- Prepare financial reports, correspondence, and presentations as requested
- Support the development and implementation of finance policies and procedures
- Handle filing, documentation, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support finance operations
Skills and Requirements:
- 5 years of general accounting or A/P / A/R experience highly preferred
- Professional presence with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality
- Team-oriented with a goal-driven mindset; associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred
