Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, cash management, bank reconciliations, and month-end close support
• Manage billing and collections, including AIA construction billing
• Support the CFO with financial analysis, accruals, journal entries, and process improvements
• Supervise and provide coverage for AP/AR staff
• Partner with project managers to improve job-costing accuracy and billing timeliness
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, benefits reconciliations, and annual 1099s
• Provide administrative oversight for office functions, onboarding/offboarding, and technology coordination

Desired Background

• 3–5 years of construction accounting experience (AIA billing required) or out of public accounting
• Hands-on experience across AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting functions
• Strong Excel skills; systems savvy
• Supervisory or review-level experience strongly preferred
