Security Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Security Engineer to join our team in LaVergne, Tennessee. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of cybersecurity practices, including vulnerability assessments, endpoint protection, and network security. The selected candidate will play a key role in safeguarding our organization's digital infrastructure by implementing and managing advanced security technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security risks.
• Develop and implement remediation strategies to resolve identified vulnerabilities.
• Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls to ensure secure and efficient network traffic management.
• Monitor and refine firewall rules to enhance security and optimize performance.
• Deploy and oversee Microsoft Defender to protect endpoints from malware and other cyber threats.
• Strengthen endpoint security measures using Trend Micro solutions.
• Manage and monitor intrusion detection systems to identify and respond to potential breaches.
• Analyze security alerts and respond promptly to mitigate risks.
• Leverage SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar to analyze log data and identify security events.
• Investigate and document security incidents, providing detailed root cause analyses and recommendations for improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of five years of experience working in the cybersecurity field.
• Expertise in vulnerability scanning tools and endpoint protection solutions such as Microsoft Defender and Trend Micro.
• Advanced knowledge of configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with SIEM platforms like Splunk or QRadar for log analysis and security event management.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security practices, and system hardening techniques.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents.
