Security Architect

We are looking for an experienced Security Architect to join our team in Southern California. In this role, you will lead efforts to design and implement robust security solutions across various domains, including cloud, AI, networks, and endpoints. This is a long-term contract position that requires onsite work and occasional travel to ensure the organization's technology infrastructure remains secure and compliant with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security architectures tailored to organizational needs, incorporating cybersecurity principles to minimize risks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and integrate security measures into technology systems.

• Align security frameworks and policies with industry regulations and organizational requirements.

• Present complex technical concepts in simplified terms, ensuring clear communication to diverse audiences.

• Stay updated on domain-specific trends and apply expertise to address emerging security challenges.

• Design and deploy advanced cybersecurity measures to detect, control, and prevent breaches.

• Lead initiatives to secure cloud technologies, AI systems, endpoints, and networks.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security protocols, recommending improvements as necessary.

• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational digital assets.

• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop strategies to address vulnerabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT and business experience.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in designing security solutions for cloud technologies, AI systems, and networking environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Desired certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel periodically for onsite engagements.
