Property Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Assistant to support our property management operations in Norfolk, VA. In this long-term contract role, you will contribute to the success of a dynamic team by ensuring efficient communication with tenants and vendors, maintaining accurate administrative and financial records, and assisting with construction management processes. Responsibilities:

• Assistance with bid leveling and comparative analysis in Excel
• Contract preparation and facilitation of execution with vendor
• Understanding and comprehension of COI, W-9, etc.
• Job cost reconciliation as needed
• Prepare and update meeting notes as needed
• Maintain electronic file organization for department
• Maintain project budgets and reforecast of current revenue – departmental and job cost related
• Accurately generate invoices for Construction Management fee collection and assist with AR efforts to collect outstanding payments
• Should be able to set up projects in Yardi

• Property Management Experience, ideally within commercial real estate
• Working Knowledge of Yardi
• Should be able to set up projects in Yardi
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PPT, Teams Suite, Bluebeam Software (Adobe)
• Basic understanding of project management
