Project Coordinator

We are looking for a dedicated Project Coordinator with a focus on billing and permitting to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role is essential in supporting the permitting and development processes for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service and have experience working with building permits and construction-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks to facilitate the permitting process.

• Assist in processing permits for the Building, Planning, and Engineering Divisions.

• Track and manage permit applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.

• Provide exceptional customer service by guiding local government clients and the public through the permit application process.

• Review development permit applications for completeness and compliance with established requirements.

• Calculate and process fees related to development project applications, ensuring proper documentation.

• Maintain and organize development review files, both electronic and physical.

• Update electronic permit records to reflect current project statuses and changes.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline permitting workflows and resolve application issues.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in construction or permitting.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with building permits and permitting processes.
• Proficiency in administrative and clerical tasks, including file management and record keeping.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to review and verify application documentation for accuracy.
• Competency in calculating fees and processing payments accurately.
• Experience with electronic file systems and the ability to update records efficiently.
