Programmer 5

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team in Augusta, Maine. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies, including C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio, to enhance and maintain critical software systems. As part of a long-term contract, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions while collaborating with other developers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze, design, code, test, and document software solutions to meet business requirements.
• Develop enhancements and resolve production issues within the GenTax system using established programming standards.
• Implement change requests and track modifications in the Fast Central Repository, adhering to project guidelines.
• Coordinate work with fellow developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Conduct structured code reviews and walkthroughs to maintain high-quality standards.
• Plan and execute necessary process steps to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with technical and business personnel to address challenges and provide effective solutions.
• Continuously improve processes and ensure alignment with best practices.
• Present complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Provide expertise in database environments and recommend optimal solutions based on past experience.
• Proficiency in programming with C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio.
• Strong knowledge of software development processes, including coding, testing, and documentation.
• Experience with systems such as GenTax, DV-VS, UI-PL, or similar programs.
• Ability to plan and execute tasks independently, with minimal supervision.
• Proven expertise in structured code reviews and process improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and manage risks effectively.
• Familiarity with database environments and modeling techniques.
