What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post Closer position at Robert Half?
We are looking for a Post Closer to join the team in Baltimore, MD. The Post Closer is responsible for reviewing, finalizing, and shipping closed loan files to investors, lenders, and appropriate parties. This role ensures all documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with investor, regulatory, and company requirements after loan closing.
Responsibilities:
- Review closed loan packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Verify all required documents are properly executed, dated, notarized, and recorded as required
- Resolve post-closing conditions and documentation deficiencies
- Prepare and ship loan files to investors, warehouse lenders, and custodians within required timelines
- Coordinate with closing agents, title companies, underwriters, and internal teams to correct errors
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, investor, and company guidelines
- Track loan status and maintain accurate post-closing records
- Assist with trailing documents and follow up until file is complete
- Respond to investor or auditor inquiries related to closed loans
- 2 years of mortgage post-closing or related experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of mortgage documents and loan closing processes
- Familiarity with investor guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines
- Proficient in mortgage loan origination systems and Microsoft Office
