Payroll Systems Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Systems Consultant to join our team on a contract basis in Watertown, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in payroll system implementation and union payroll processes. You will play a key part in optimizing payroll operations and ensuring seamless system integrations.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation of payroll systems, focusing on transitioning to Viewpoint Spectrum.
• Configure union payroll settings, including wage codes and pay rates, to align with organizational requirements.
• Conduct thorough data cleanup and migration from legacy systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline manual payroll processes and improve efficiency.
• Perform test payroll runs in the new system to validate data and functionality.
• Provide consulting expertise to address challenges related to union contracts and payroll compliance.
• Work closely with project teams to manage database migrations and system conversions.
• Ensure successful deployment of payroll systems by cross-referencing historical data with new system outputs.
• Offer guidance and training to staff on new payroll functionalities and best practices.
• Proven experience in payroll system implementation and consulting.
• Strong knowledge of union payroll processes, including wage codes and contract management.
• Familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum or similar construction payroll systems.
• Expertise in data migration and database management.
• Ability to perform full-cycle payroll operations with attention to detail.
• Background in handling payroll for construction projects with varying pay rates.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
