Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute all aspects of multi-state payroll operations, with a focus on California compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Process payroll for hourly, seasonal, and permanent employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and review payroll records, resolve discrepancies, and support audits with strong documentation.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions—including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data consolidation—to analyze payroll data and generate reports.
- Oversee accurate data imports and reconciliations from Ceridian, QuickBooks Time, and other timekeeping software.
- Ensure payroll procedures align closely with state and federal labor laws, handling wage garnishments, tax filings, and year-end reporting.
Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on multi-state payroll experience, with expert-level understanding of California payroll rules.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis).
