Payroll/HRIS Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Payroll/HRIS Specialist to join our team in Rochester, New York. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and expertise in payroll processing and HRIS systems who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate payroll administration and optimizing system functionality for improved efficiency. Responsibilities:

• Manage and process multiple payroll cycles, including three weekly and one biweekly payroll, covering nearly 1,000 employees.

• Ensure all payroll transactions are accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant regulations.

• Dedicate Mondays to intensive payroll processing tasks to meet weekly deadlines.

• Oversee and maintain HRIS systems, including regular updates and monitoring system performance.

• Apply system updates and releases, ensuring seamless functionality and addressing any technical issues.

• Support the continuous improvement of HRIS system utilization to enhance operational efficiency.

• Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies to maintain precise records.

• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll-related inquiries and improve processes.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing.

• Expertise in HRIS systems, particularly UKG Pro is ideal, but not required

• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and reporting.

• Proven ability to reconcile payroll and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Familiarity with maintaining and updating HRIS systems for optimal functionality.

• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, especially on high-demand processing days.
