We are working client who is seeking an experienced Payroll/Benefits Manager to oversee payroll operations and benefits administration. In this role, you will manage bi-weekly payroll processing, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide support to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries. This is a contract position based in Plymouth, Minnesota. Offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning of a dynamic manufacturing organization. Work model is primarily on-site.


Responsibilities:

• Supervise the Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for over 700 employees.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of payroll and benefits, ensuring all transactions are executed with precision and compliance.

• Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vacation, COBRA, and retirement plans.

• Reconcile monthly vendor invoices related to employee benefits and ensure prompt submission for payment.

• Support compliance activities such as 401(k) audits, discrimination testing, and other reporting requirements.

• Advise employees on benefits plans and coordinate with brokers and providers to resolve issues.

• Maintain accurate employee records for enrollments, terminations, and COBRA administration.

• Oversee leave management processes, including the Minnesota Paid Leave Act and other accommodations.

• Collaborate closely with the Finance Department and other internal teams to align payroll and benefits objectives.

• Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed to enhance payroll and benefits operations.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing payroll oversight and/or processing, benefits administration, and leave management.

• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now for payroll and related functions is required.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and work with pivot tables.

• Experience handling payroll for large organizations with over 500 employees.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

• Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick and sound decisions.

• Familiarity with compliance requirements for payroll and benefits, including audits and reporting.
