Partner

We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Partner to join a growing law firm in Richmond, Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate within a dynamic and supportive environment while contributing to the firm’s expansion and success. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in transactional law and a strong commitment to continuous growth and mentorship.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and commercial real estate deals.

• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

• Develop and grow your practice while contributing to the firm's strategic goals.

• Foster a positive office culture by mentoring entry-level attorneys and supporting ongoing development initiatives.

• Engage in business development activities to expand the firm's client base and strengthen relationships.

• Provide expert counsel in corporate and business law matters, including capital markets and securities.

• Work closely with firm leadership to shape the growth and direction of the Richmond office.

• Ensure high-quality client service and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and problem-solving.

• Participate in firm-wide initiatives and contribute to a collaborative, non-siloed work environment.

• Stay updated on legal and industry trends to provide clients with informed and innovative solutions.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in transactional law or related practice areas.
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia or eligible for admission.
• Proven track record of managing complex legal transactions and providing strategic counsel.
• Portable book of business preferred, with a range of $250K–$500K viewed as a strong asset.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow your practice within a supportive platform.
• Excellent collaboration skills and a commitment to contributing to firm culture.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to build lasting client relationships.
• Interest in mentoring and guiding entry-level attorneys in their career development.
