What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Engineer position at Robert Half?
Responsibilities:
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and networking systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement and manage Palo Alto firewalls to enhance network security.
• Monitor and optimize network protocols, including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), for seamless connectivity.
• Collaborate with team members to design and deploy scalable network solutions.
• Conduct regular assessments of network infrastructure to identify and address vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical support and resolve network-related issues promptly.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations and procedures.
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and security.
• Assist in planning and executing network upgrades or expansions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network operations.
• At least 3 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ASA technologies.
• Strong understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and its implementation.
• Familiarity with Cisco networking concepts and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting.
