Mortgage Processor

We are looking for a detail-oriented Mortgage Processor to join our team in Middletown, Rhode Island. In this Contract to permanent role, you will manage the end-to-end processing of first mortgage applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with borrowers, lenders, and underwriters.

Responsibilities:
• Review and process first mortgage applications with precision and attention to detail.
• Utilize Encompass software to manage loan files and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
• Communicate directly with borrowers to clarify application details and obtain required information.
• Collaborate with lenders and underwriters to ensure smooth workflow and timely approvals.
• Assemble comprehensive loan application packages to meet regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Verify and validate loan application data for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide support in resolving discrepancies or missing information during the loan process.
• Maintain thorough documentation and records to comply with industry standards.
• Address borrower inquiries and provide updates on loan application status.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and mortgage processing guidelines.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in mortgage processing.
• Proficiency in using Encompass software for loan management.
• Strong knowledge of loan administration and mortgage lending practices.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with borrowers and team members.
• Ability to assemble and review loan application packages with accuracy.
• Familiarity with first mortgage lending processes and regulations.
• Detail-oriented mindset to ensure compliance and resolve discrepancies.
• Capacity to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
