Managing Director

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves overseeing all administrative and technical aspects to ensure projects meet design specifications, budgetary constraints, and timelines. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating teams, liaising with stakeholders, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the entire construction process to ensure projects align with design specifications, budgets, and schedules.

• Serve as the primary liaison with clients, union representatives, and subcontractors to maintain open communication and resolve issues.

• Establish project timelines while tracking deliverables to ensure milestones are met.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently and within budget.

• Approve personnel transactions, procurement requests, change orders, and other project-related decisions.

• Enforce company policies, client requirements, and project standards to uphold organizational values and ensure compliance.

• Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, and files to track progress and outcomes.

• Adhere to and promote safety initiatives to create a secure working environment.

• Monitor project controls to ensure adherence to contracts, forecasts, and cost management plans.

• Provide guidance and support to project team members, ensuring tasks are completed effectively.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a Project Manager capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction practices, methods, technologies, company policies, and labor agreements.
• Proven expertise in project planning and management with strong business acumen.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Experience working on Caltrans projects is highly desirable.
• Advanced negotiation skills to manage contracts and stakeholder expectations.
• Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with construction software like Hard Dollar and Vista by Viewpoint.
