Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal

We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join a small high stakes law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves providing comprehensive support in high-stakes plaintiff medical malpractice litigation cases. The ideal candidate will excel in trial preparation, discovery processes, client intake and screening, and administrative tasks while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Prepare and organize trial binders, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and readily accessible.

• Assist with trial preparation, including coordinating schedules, materials, and logistics.

• Handle discovery processes, including document management and responses.

• Conduct Georgia court filings and e-filings with precision and adherence to deadlines.

• Provide administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management and correspondence.

• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure smooth litigation processes and case management.

• Maintain accurate records of court filings and litigation documents.

• Support medical malpractice casework with thorough research and documentation.

• 1-2 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, preferably in civil litigation.

• Proficiency in Georgia court filing and e-filing systems.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage trial preparation and discovery tasks.

• Familiarity with medical malpractice litigation processes.

• Excellent calendar management and administrative skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive legal documents with discretion and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to liaise with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
