Role: IT Manager – Data Centers
Location: Glendale, CA (Onsite 5 days/week)
Compensation: $180,000 base annual bonus
Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead enterprise data center operations for a highly regulated, mission-critical environment. This role replaces a long-tenured manager and owns both people leadership and hands-on infrastructure oversight. The focus is reliability, process, compliance, and operational excellence—not an IT Director role.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a team of 5 infrastructure engineers
- Own operations across 9 data centers (no travel required)
- Manage data center infrastructure: power, cooling, heating, racks, servers, storage, and virtualization
- Oversee Nutanix (or similar HCI), backup, DR, monitoring, and patching
- Drive IT policies, standards, documentation, and audit readiness
- Ensure uptime, security, and compliance in a regulated environment
- Balance ~60% management / 40% hands-on (initially more hands-on)
Must-Have Requirements
- 6 years as an IT Manager in a data center–heavy environment
- Strong Nutanix or comparable HCI platform experience
- Deep understanding of data center operations (power, cooling, hardware lifecycle)
- Proven strength in IT policies, procedures, and process design
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks (SOX, ITAR, DFARS, or similar)
- Hands-on background with Windows/*NIX, virtualization, storage, and backups
- Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week
- U.S. Person status required due to regulatory environment
Salary : $160,000 - $200,000
