The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and executing all HR functions with a strong emphasis on employee relations in a union and non-union environment. This role partners closely with leadership to support organizational objectives, ensure compliance with employment laws, manage labor relations, and drive continuous improvement in HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing performance management, disciplinary actions, investigations, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Assist in labor relations, including interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements, union grievance handling, arbitration preparation and participation, and labor contract negotiations.
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including workforce planning, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Oversee and administer FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and leave management programs.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, open enrollment, and vendor management.
- Manage and process payroll for approximately 175 employees, including both union and non-union staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Act as the system administrator for ADP, including payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and reporting.
- Partner with leadership on change management initiatives, organizational development, and workforce planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency, consistency, and employee experience.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on HR best practices, employee engagement, and performance management.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, required, within a unionized environment.
- Strong background in employee relations and labor relations, including union negotiations and arbitration.
- Proficiency with ADP HR and payroll systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
