What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources (HR) Assistant position at Robert Half?
Responsibilities:
• Review and assess candidate applications to verify they meet established job qualifications.
• Schedule and coordinate HR interviews for eligible candidates.
• Conduct employment reference checks to support the hiring process.
• Process and oversee complex pre-employment background checks, including Statewide Central Registry compliance.
• Provide coverage for HR interviews and support additional tasks as required.
• Assist in collecting and analyzing data related to recruitment and hiring activities.
• Ensure adherence to agency policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with team members to address HR-related needs and challenges.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the department's goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel to various locations as required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using HRIS systems and other computer applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with onboarding processes and employee relations.
• Familiarity with conducting background checks and managing compliance requirements.
