Help Desk Specialist I

We are looking for a dedicated Help Desk Specialist I to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Sandy, Utah. In this role, you will provide first-line technical support, assisting users with software, hardware, and network issues. The ideal candidate will bring excellent problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of Windows-based systems.

Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly to user inquiries and resolve technical issues via phone, email, or in person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to Microsoft Windows 10 and other supported software.
• Assist with managing user accounts and permissions through Active Directory.
• Log, track, and manage service desk tickets to ensure timely resolutions.
• Perform basic hardware and software installations and configurations.
• Document solutions and provide clear instructions for recurring issues.
• Escalate complex problems to higher-level technical teams when necessary.
• Maintain a high level of customer service while addressing technical concerns.
• Monitor system performance and report any irregularities to the appropriate teams.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory for user account management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 10 and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with service desk ticketing systems and workflows.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of hardware and software installation processes.
• Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is preferred.
