Help Desk Specialist I

We are looking for a dedicated Help Desk Specialist I to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Sandy, Utah. In this role, you will provide first-level technical support and ensure smooth functionality of systems to meet user needs. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to handling technical issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly to user inquiries and provide technical assistance for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Windows 10 and Active Directory.
• Manage and prioritize service desk tickets to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform routine system checks and maintenance to optimize performance.
• Document all incidents, resolutions, and escalations in the service desk system.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to address complex technical problems.
• Provide guidance and instructions to users on system functionality and best practices.
• Install, configure, and update software and hardware as needed.
• Maintain security protocols and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Proficiency in Active Directory and Microsoft Windows 10.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Experience using service desk ticketing systems.
• Effective communication skills to assist users and document solutions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple issues simultaneously.
• Familiarity with basic system maintenance and updates.
• Understanding of security protocols and compliance standards.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
