Financial & Data Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Senior Financial & Data Analyst to join our client on a long-term contract basis in Midtown New York. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting financial analysis, data analytics, and day-to-day finance operations with a focus on systems reporting. This position is hybrid on-site.

Responsibilities:

Partner with the VP Finance and Finance Team to assist with automating processes and reporting

• Collaborate closely with Business Managers to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.

• Create financial models to provide insights to business operations.

• Analyze and resolve data issues within the newly implemented systems, ensuring smooth operations.

• Develop and deliver insightful financial dashboards and reports using advanced business intelligence tools.

• Apply data mining techniques and visualization tools to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.

• 5 years experience in financial and/or data analytics
• Strong Excel skills required including mining of large data sets and financial modeling
• Experience with Oracle systems highly preferred (Oracle EPM, Smart View) as well as DOMO and Power BI
• Experience in financial services and/or insurance helpful, but not required
