What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Robert Half?
Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily analysis of purchasing activities and payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the finance team, human resources, and plant staff for payroll-related matters.
• Reconcile payroll systems, weekly and bi-monthly payroll payments, and the plant checkbook.
• Assist with internal controls documentation and maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Support both internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
• Prepare manual journal entries and ensure accurate cost allocation during month-end closings.
• Collaborate with plant buyers and staff to verify purchase requisitions and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage intercompany invoice reconciliations and monitor receivables/payables activities.
• Maintain fixed asset records and oversee capital project tracking from inception to registration.
• Conduct physical inventory counts for selected fixed assets and support inventory control measures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within manufacturing or automotive industries.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and software; experience with Workforce software is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with cost accounting principles and financial variance analysis.
• Experience managing capital assets and reconciling intercompany transactions.
• Ability to perform physical inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
