File Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will assist in organizing and maintaining files for the HR department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This position is based in Lewisville, Texas, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a short-term project in a government setting.

Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain physical and digital files to ensure proper categorization and easy retrieval.
• Take inventory of file records to identify missing or misplaced items.
• Label boxes and file folders accurately to streamline the filing process.
• Rearrange and relocate files to designated areas to enhance organization.
• Work closely with the HR department to ensure all documentation is appropriately handled.
• Follow confidentiality protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
• Keep track of progress and report on file organization status to supervisors.
• Previous experience in filing or clerical work.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move file boxes as needed.
• Proficiency in labeling and categorizing files.
• Familiarity with standard office equipment such as scanners and copiers.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
