File Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Albany, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transitioning physical records into an electronic format. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing and managing documents in a systematic manner.

Responsibilities:
• Sort and organize physical files based on the client’s specified list.
• Prepare files for scanning by boxing and labeling them appropriately.
• Input information from physical files into a data sheet for tracking purposes.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate and efficient record digitization.
• Handle 18 file drawers of documents while maintaining order and consistency.
• Assist in ensuring all records are securely transitioned to electronic storage.
• Follow established procedures for document handling and data entry.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information during the process.
• Utilize scanning equipment to digitize paper records.
• Provide updates to supervisors regarding progress and any challenges encountered.
• Previous experience in paper filing and file organization.
• Familiarity with document scanning and e-filing systems.
• Ability to work methodically and maintain accuracy in data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in handling file boxes and preparing documents for digitization.
• Basic computer skills to manage electronic files and data sheets.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
