Robert Half is seeking a talented Business Intelligence ETL Developer to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This position supports the company’s data and business intelligence needs, ensuring stakeholders have the tools and information necessary for improved business processes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of robust data solutions within our enterprise data warehouse environment, while also offering ongoing technical support.
Responsibilities
- Ensure data accuracy and availability by monitoring and supporting ETL processes from various data sources.
- Develop a thorough understanding of current processes and identify key data dependencies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to refine processes for improved data quality and system performance.
- Manage the technical design, implementation, maintenance, and support of data warehouse systems.
- Translate business needs into actionable designs, build solutions, and conduct testing.
- Contribute to data design, database architecture, and the creation of scalable repositories.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, process flows, and prototypes.
- Assist in testing new development tools and hardware/software upgrades.
- Provide project progress updates to both teams and management.
- Support the development of technical scopes and estimates for large, complex projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and systems integration.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including designing, creating, and managing relational database objects (e.g., tables, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and scripts).
- Availability to monitor and troubleshoot ETL processing issues outside of standard business hours, as needed.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking ability.
- Familiarity with SDLC concepts, including modeling, migration/conversion, repositories, change management, and testing.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for learning technology solutions to solve business challenges.
- Proven ability to meet project deadlines and deliver results independently.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Interest in understanding business processes within the builder supply and construction industry.
Preferred:
- Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Azure ADF.
