A growing eCommerce organization is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary development team and own the technical and architectural direction of its eCommerce platforms. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management to ensure scalable, reliable systems aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional team of developers, integration engineers, and eCommerce specialists
- Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable system architectures
- Own architectural decisions, coding standards, and system maintenance across platforms
- Oversee integrations between eCommerce platforms (Shopify), ERP systems, and third-party tools
- Drive development best practices including code reviews, release management, and sprint planning
- Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues
- Foster continuous improvement in system performance, team productivity, and delivery processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience managing technical teams, preferably in an eCommerce environment
- Strong experience with APIs, RESTful services, webhooks, and middleware platforms
- Hands-on background in systems architecture and platform integrations (Shopify, ERP, data platforms)
- Deep familiarity with Shopify development (themes, APIs, app integrations)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and SDLC implementation
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
