What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at Robert Half?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to join our client's progressive, privately-owned veterinary practice. This role will work closely with the CEO/Owner, hospital coordinator, and department leads to ensure smooth daily operations and drive growth and efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day hospital operations and workflow efficiency
- Manage and support staff, schedules, and resources
- Evaluate and manage inventory, ordering, and cost control
- Analyze current processes and implement operational improvements
- Develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and drive profitability
- Collaborate on marketing initiatives and hospital development, if interested
- Supervise facilities, grounds, and weekend operations as needed
- Provide occasional staff coverage when necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; CVPM certification preferred
- 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting
- Strong organizational, financial, and team management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
