What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Creative Operations position at Robert Half?
If you’re a systems-minded leader who thrives in creative environments someone who can see the big picture, design the operating system, and still roll up your sleeves to solve today’s issues we’d love to talk.
Robert Half Technology is seeking a Director of Creative Operations to architect and run the operating system for a fast-growing, premier entertainment marketing environment spanning Film/Series, Games, and Content.

- Oversee integration between PSA (Professional Services Automation), asset management (DAM/MAM), and financial systems so data flows cleanly from Job Start → Delivery → Invoice.
- Ensure the tech stack is optimized for high-volume AV production (Adobe suite, Frame.io, high-speed storage, transcoding pipelines, etc.). Director of Creative Operations
3. Resource Management & Margin Optimization
- Shift the organization from reactive staffing to predictive capacity planning using clear utilization and forecasting metrics.
- Partner with Finance to define and track Effective Hourly Rate (EHR), utilization, and other operational KPIs.
- Identify automation opportunities (e.g., ingestion, transcoding, archiving, basic versioning) to free creative teams for higher-value, billable work. Director of Creative Operations
4. AI Innovation & Governance
- Evaluate, pilot, and integrate AI-driven tools (e.g., generative fill, automated tagging, voice tools, script analysis, LLM-based efficiencies) to enhance speed and consistency.
- Build and enforce AI usage protocols that strictly comply with studio, streaming, and gaming partner guidelines—ensuring IP and data are fully protected. Director of Creative Operations
5. Change Management, Training & Culture
- Act as a change champion, translating new tools and processes into language and workflows that resonate with editors, motion designers, and producers.
- Develop training programs, playbooks, and onboarding documentation for new and existing staff.
- Create feedback loops to continuously refine processes and increase adoption across the organization. Director of Creative Operations
