Dev Ops Engineer III (Contractor)

We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer for a contract-to-hire role based in Englewood, CO. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining technical systems and software, with a strong focus on automation, deployment, and operational excellence.

4 days onsite, 1 day remote in Englewood, CO

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems.
• Perform engineering design evaluations and contribute to the development of a range of products.
• Recommend design and development alterations to improve product quality and procedures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production software issues.
• Develop and implement monitoring solutions and perform software maintenance.
• Establish standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness.
• Provide recommendations on testing techniques and process improvements.
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines; work under immediate supervision and report to a supervisor or manager.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.

Experience with:

• Automating software deployment using tools like Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
• Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
• Open source technologies and tools.
• Systems and IT operations.
• Data management with a focus on automation tools.
• Revision control systems (e.g., GitHub) including branching and tagging strategies.
• Provisioning and managing applications in virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS, OpenStack preferred).
• Deployment and network operations or sysadmin tasks with scripting and coding experience.
• Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills

• Operational knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in GoLang.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes.
