Desktop Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Endpoint Configuration Manager Administrator to oversee and maintain the health and performance of our SCCM environment. This role is responsible for managing endpoint deployments, software updates, and system configurations, while also supporting broader IT initiatives and mentoring technical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations and health of the MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) environment.
• Install, configure, and patch Windows operating systems.
• Maintain MECM client health across all endpoints.
• Administer software updates, patching, and application deployments.
• Deploy Windows 11 and maintain up-to-date driver packs for endpoint deployment.
• Ensure synchronization between MECM and Active Directory computer endpoints.
• Lead the transition to Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.
• Collaborate with security teams to identify and mitigate endpoint vulnerabilities.
• Deploy and update endpoint antivirus software.
• Implement and manage third-party software updates and solutions.
• Provide next-tier support for Level II technical staff.
• Handle high-level support tickets and urgent technical issues.
• Manage deployment of priority computers and maintain accurate IT documentation.
• Oversee scheduling and execution of IT hardware replacement cycles.

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in endpoint management, including MECM administration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Patience and a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Solid technical knowledge of hardware, software, and networking systems.
