We are looking for a dedicated Credentialing Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Rochester, New York. This role involves ensuring compliance with credentialing policies and managing provider documentation with precision and accuracy. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the credentialing process to ensure compliance with established policies and standards.
- Maintain and update provider information in databases, including EHR systems and CRM tools.
- Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness, adhering to industry regulations.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to collect and validate necessary credentialing materials.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal and external credentialing requirements.
- Utilize tools such as Adobe Acrobat and other software to manage and organize credentialing documents.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, including the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH), to ensure proper credentialing.
- Monitor deadlines and follow up on pending credentialing applications to ensure timely approvals.
- Support the preparation of reports related to credentialing activities and compliance.
- Stay informed about changes in credentialing regulations and implement necessary updates.
- Proven experience in credentialing processes within the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Acrobat, CRM systems, and EHR platforms.
- Familiarity with compliance and auditing practices in healthcare.
- Knowledge of industry standards, including CAQH guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with healthcare providers and regulatory bodies.
- Experience with financial services or banner ads is a plus but not required.
