Cost Accountant

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Collect, organize, and analyze products and operational costs into a database of expenses

• Develop and implement cost standards

• Reviewing actual costs versus cost standards for inaccuracies and variances

• Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures.

• Validate and analyze the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close

• Reconcile and manage accrued accounts payable un-invoiced receipts

• Provide support for annual physical inventories and cycle counts including inventory analysis

• Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and management teams to improve efficiency and cost savings

• Data entry and computation

• Generate journal entries based on monthly account

Qualifications:

• U.S. Work Authorization

• Degree in Accounting Finance, or other relevant business field

• 1 - 2 years of work experience as a cost accountant, cost analyst, accountant, or similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook Email as well as ERP/accounting systems

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information

• Time management skills, ability to function in high pressure situations and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Be dependable, on-time, and have reliable transportation

• Demonstrated skill in ERP Software is a plus
