Cutting edge tech company is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Counsel to join our team in Mountain View, California. This is a Commercial Counsel will work in a dynamic startup environment where you will play a pivotal role in managing contracts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations.
This position requires the ability to work on-site in Mountain View 4-5x per week. This is a contract to hire job for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and complex non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
• Provide legal guidance on technical matters, working closely with the engineering team to address complex requirements.
• Serve as the primary on-site legal representative, ensuring compliance and fostering strong relationships across departments.
• Handle general corporate legal matters and assist with broader organizational needs as they arise.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline contract processes and resolve legal issues efficiently.
• Conduct redlining and manage contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms for the organization.
• Assist in developing and maintaining best practices for contract management and legal operations.
Qualifications:
• Licensed attorney with at least 2 years of experience in commercial contracts and/or corporate law.
• Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and NDAs.
• Strong background in contract redlining and negotiation processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
• Technical background, such as a degree in the sciences, is preferred but not required.
Salary : $75 - $95
