Corporate & Business Law Attorney

Chris Preble is working with a legal industry client of his in Syracuse NY that is growing. They are looking for a skilled Corporate & Business Law Attorney to join their firm that has outstanding benefits. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-value commercial matters while advising clients from a variety of industries on legal strategies and operational challenges. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in corporate law and a proactive approach to managing legal risks.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal counsel on corporate matters, including entity formation, governance, and regulatory compliance.

• Draft, structure, and negotiate contracts for diverse business transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and service agreements.

• Lead due diligence reviews and risk assessments to support transactional efforts.

• Interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure legal compliance.

• Collaborate with clients, executives, and stakeholders to align legal strategies with business objectives.

• Offer strategic guidance during the planning and execution phases of complex transactions.

• Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.

• Contribute to the development of long-term client relationships through exceptional service and communication.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York State Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate transactions or commercial law.
• Proven ability to handle complex deals and negotiate contracts effectively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and general business practices.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for advising clients and building relationships.
