We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Kent, Washington. This role will oversee key financial operations and contribute to the strategic direction of the company as it continues to grow. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to driving long-term success.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the company's financial health by overseeing the accounting cycle, including month-end, year-end, and quarterly reporting processes.
• Supervise the creation and reconciliation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Lead all audit processes, both internal and external, to maintain transparency and integrity.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets, providing detailed financial analysis and reports.
• Forecast financial performance and track variances, advising on business strategies and growth opportunities.
• Implement and upgrade financial systems, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on opportunities for business growth and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, mitigating risks.
• Manage and mentor a growing team, fostering development and collaboration.
The salary range for this position is $140k to $160k w/ bonus potential up to 10%. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with a match and 15 days of paid vacation, 5 days of paid sick leave and 9 paid holidays per calendar year.
• Proven experience in a Controller or senior financial management role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems and CRM platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audit processes and perform reconciliations.
• Experience with system implementation and upgrades.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
