Communication Specialist

We are looking for a talented Communication Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role encompasses both internal and external communication efforts, requiring a strong foundation in graphic design and digital content creation. The ideal candidate will support a variety of communication and marketing initiatives across multiple platforms, ensuring consistent and effective messaging.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute communication strategies for both internal and external audiences.
• Create and edit content for print and digital platforms using tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
• Maintain and update the organization's website, ensuring its content is accurate, engaging, and functional.
• Provide support for marketing initiatives, including crafting compelling messaging for digital campaigns.
• Utilize graphic design expertise to produce visually appealing materials, including brochures, reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate with various teams to align communications with organizational goals and initiatives.
• Assist with general marketing efforts, ensuring projects are executed on time and meet quality standards.
• Monitor and manage multiple communication projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Canva.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft clear and engaging messages.
• Demonstrated experience in graphic and digital design, with a strong portfolio of past work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with website content management and updates.
• Experience in corporate communications or copywriting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of communication planning and strategy development.
