Collections Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Santa Clara, California. In this role, you will focus on managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in commercial and consumer collections.

Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
• Perform thorough follow-ups with clients on overdue payments using effective communication strategies.
• Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
• Utilize tools such as FileMaker Pro and QuickBooks to streamline collection processes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of collection activities and payment arrangements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address account issues and improve collection efficiency.
• Apply a detail-focused yet assertive approach to encourage timely payments.
• Identify and escalate complex collection issues to management as necessary.
• Monitor and report on collection metrics and progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations during collection activities.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial and consumer collections.
• Proven expertise in managing credit and collection processes.
• Proficiency in FileMaker Pro and QuickBooks is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with a balance of assertiveness and professionalism.
• Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies effectively.
• Familiarity with E3 systems is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
