Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage strategic or high-risk accounts, ensuring receivables are analyzed and prioritized effectively to meet objectives.
• Conduct detailed account analysis to identify trends, root causes of issues, and implement actionable solutions to improve outcomes.
• Develop and execute plans to address account challenges, coordinating resources within the accounts receivable function to ensure successful resolution.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional meetings to address problems, enhance processes, and provide training to colleagues.
• Negotiate with customers or internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and payment disputes, achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Manage accounts with complex requirements, such as multi-currency transactions, EDI processing, or outsourced collections support.
• Provide guidance and training to third-party partners supporting accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Act as a subject matter expert by testing, documenting, and training on systems that support accounts receivable processes.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, addressing concerns related to billing or payment discrepancies.
• Collaborate with IT and leadership teams to define and improve systems and processes that enhance accounts receivable operations.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related financial role, preferably handling complex accounts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to resolve disputes and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with electronic data interchange (EDI) processes and multi-currency transactions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives and meetings.
• Proficiency in using accounts receivable systems and tools, with the ability to train others on their use.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of best practices in collections, billing, and cash activity processes.
