CFO

We are looking for an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our senior leadership team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role will oversee the financial operations and strategic planning for a family-owned group of companies specializing in real estate development, property management, and mixed-use projects. With over $6 billion in real estate assets and a diverse portfolio, the CFO will play a pivotal role in driving financial success and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of approximately 25 professionals, fostering collaboration and excellence across finance, accounting, treasury, and information technology.
• Provide strategic direction in capital markets, including securing construction and permanent loans, negotiating loan terms, and managing interest rate risk.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy for approximately 100 legal entities.
• Partner with the treasurer to optimize cash flow management and maintain financial stability.
• Collaborate with the risk manager to evaluate and manage risks effectively, including insurance programs and captive insurance companies.
• Ensure compliance with HR-related activities, including managing 401(k) plans and self-insured medical programs.
• Support financial planning and analysis efforts, including cash forecasting and investment evaluations.
• Drive innovation and strategic initiatives within the finance and accounting operations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience in financial or accounting leadership roles, demonstrating a track record of success.
• Expertise in capital markets and borrowing processes, including loan negotiations and interest rate management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor teams.
• Exceptional integrity and work ethic, displaying professionalism in all aspects.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and visual presentation abilities.
• Master’s degree in accounting, business, or finance is preferred.
• CPA certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience in real estate or construction industries is beneficial but not required.
