We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. This long-term contract role is ideal for a forward-thinking financial leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and excels in strategic decision-making. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will oversee financial operations, human resources, and facilities management, ensuring organizational compliance and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the executive leadership team to shape strategic decisions and serve as the Board Treasurer.
• Supervise and guide directors, setting annual objectives and evaluating performance outcomes.
• Support growth and development among department staff by identifying and addressing their needs.
• Lead financial management operations to maintain compliance, accuracy, and reliability in records, reports, and controls.
• Manage the preparation of timely and precise financial and operational reports for various stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee human resources functions, including employee relations, payroll, benefits, and performance management systems, while negotiating contracts with bargaining units.
• Monitor plant services and assist in planning long-term facilities needs, funding strategies, and project implementations.
• Coordinate the annual fiscal planning and budgeting process, utilizing financial data to ensure resource optimization.
• Ensure compliance with financial and HR policies, recommending improvements to strengthen operations and adhere to regulations.
• Supervise the annual independent audits and ensure transparency in financial practices.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of business systems and their integration with financial operations.
• Proven ability to manage human resources functions, including payroll and benefits.
• Expertise in compliance with federal, state, and organizational financial regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership in overseeing facility management and long-term planning.
• Experience working with executive teams and boards to drive strategic initiatives.
• Strong negotiation skills, particularly in contract discussions with bargaining units.
