SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and optimize the Linux environment supporting Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) development across virtual and physical machines, both on-premises and in the cloud. This role involves system administration, automation, and collaboration with CAE leadership to ensure a secure, reliable, and high-performance environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Tasks:Provide CAE Linux user support for incidents and inquiries.Handle application installation and update requests.Monitor overall health of the CAE Linux environment.Weekly Tasks:Provide status updates to team leadership on completed work, pending tasks, and roadblocks.Monthly Tasks:Apply monthly patches to systems.Maintain and develop automation for application installation, network storage management, and user management.Annual Tasks:Collaborate with CAE leadership to continuously improve the CAE Linux environment.Additional Responsibilities:Manage CAE application installation and maintenance.Maintain HPC job submission scripts.Implement system patching and maintenance.Drive task automation for operational efficiency.Required QualificationsProven experience as a Linux System Administrator.Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools (Pre/Post and Solving).Familiarity with High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.Knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud platforms.Proficiency in Bash scripting, Python, and server patching.Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Terraform/AWS CloudFormation.Strong communication skills and a continuous learning mindset.
