Key Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation & Analysis
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to uncover, interpret, and document complex business problems and reporting requirements
- Prioritize and manage requirements to define future-state BI (“to be”) solutions that drive enterprise objectives
- Translate technical reporting needs into business-friendly functional requirements to confirm alignment and understanding
- Influence stakeholders by clearly communicating solution rationale and desired outcomes
Functional & Technical Design
- Convert business requirements into structured functional design specifications with full traceability
- Evaluate multiple solutions across applications, assessing risk, dependencies, and system implications
- Anticipate design weaknesses and mitigate risk through reusable enterprise service recommendations
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with Robert Half Technology standards
Power BI Development & Usability
- Design and deploy enterprise Power BI dashboards using DAX, advanced data modeling, and performance optimization
- Build reusable test case suites, use cases, and validation documentation to ensure BI solution accuracy
- Deliver governed, user-adoptable reporting solutions with strong UI efficiencies and end-user productivity focus
- Analyze and generate insights from disparate and complex datasets
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Bridge business and technical perspectives, clarifying constraints, rationale, and functional needs across teams
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations, and IT stakeholders to ensure BI adoption and scalability
- Capitalize on reusability while minimizing rework by leveraging previously resolved BI solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or equivalent experience
- 5 years experience in BI platforms, systems analysis, and reporting solutions
- 4 years of hands-on Power BI development (data modeling, DAX, enterprise dashboards)
- Strong experience with Snowflake or SQL-based relational data platforms
- Metals or Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and collaboration tools
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, independent, and team-collaborative
- Strong customer service and stakeholder communication skills
Compensation & Work Modality
- Base Salary Range: $115,000 – $145,000 annually)
- Bonus Eligibility: discretionary annual bonus yearly merit increases
- Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week required, with flexibility on in-office days
- Location Requirement: Must reliably commute to Cypress, CA (local candidates only)
