Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

We have a growing client seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join their team in Prattville, Alabama. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for a strategic thinker who excels in delivering actionable insights and analytics solutions. The role focuses on developing advanced BI tools and frameworks while fostering collaboration across teams and guiding best practices. The position will be 100% in office.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust Power BI semantic models, ensuring optimal design and functionality.

• Create executive-level dashboards and data narratives to support strategic decision-making.

• Establish and manage metric definitions, documentation, and data lineage for clarity and consistency.

• Lead initiatives within the BI Center of Excellence, promoting data governance standards and maintaining a shared knowledgebase.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineering teams, and technology partners to ensure data readiness and adoption.

• Facilitate training and provide mentorship to other analysts, enhancing the overall BI capabilities of the organization.

• Conduct advanced analyses, including segmentation, time-series evaluations, and variance studies.

• Drive the adoption of BI tools and frameworks while influencing best practices and governance standards.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence and analytics.
• Proficiency in Power BI and dimensional data modeling.
• Strong expertise in advanced Power BI features and cloud data platforms, such as Snowflake.
• Proven ability to develop executive-ready dashboards and deliver impactful insights.
• Familiarity with data governance practices and the ability to influence standards.
• Experience in mentoring or coaching analytics professionals.
• Knowledge of Tableau and other BI tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
