Business Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Libertyville, Illinois. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop a comprehensive product backlog, and contribute to the early-stage planning of a new initiative. This is a short-term, three-month opportunity, ideal for candidates with strong communication skills and expertise in requirements gathering.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements for the project.
• Build and maintain a detailed product backlog to support project objectives.
• Partner with product managers, technical leads, and designers to align on project priorities and timelines.
• Facilitate discussions with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and thorough requirements gathering.
• Review project artifacts and provide guidance to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Conduct demonstrations of new features and prepare clear documentation for updates and implementations.
• Monitor project risks and issues, ensuring open communication across all teams.
• Support the implementation process by coordinating with developers and quality assurance teams.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering and backlog management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and team members.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Proficiency with tools such as JIRA for project management.
• Experience in conducting gap analysis to identify and address business needs.
• Ability to review and document system requirements and processes.
• Background in Fintech or AI is a plus but not required.
