Bookkeeper

We are looking for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to handle essential financial tasks for a growing organization in Stamford, Connecticut. This long-term contract position offers part-time work with one dedicated day per week and flexible hours, making it ideal for professionals seeking a structured yet adaptable schedule. While the role begins on-site, remote work options may become available once processes are firmly established.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial records.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.

• Prepare and send invoices, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.

• Perform cash management duties, including monitoring balances and reconciling accounts.

• Handle bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial reporting.

• Oversee 1099 processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online to complete accounting tasks and generate reports.

• Collaborate with team members to establish and refine financial processes.

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.

• Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and cash management.
• Familiarity with 1099 processing and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling financial data.
