Billing Clerk

We are looking for a dedicated Billing Clerk to join our healthcare team in Marshall, Michigan. In this role, you will play a key part in managing billing operations and ensuring accurate financial transactions within the organization. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the efficiency of healthcare services.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue accurate billing statements to clients and patients.
• Manage the collection of payments and maintain organized financial records.
• Oversee computerized billing systems to ensure smooth operations.
• Work closely with healthcare staff to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and standards.
• Generate periodic financial reports related to billing activities.
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of billing processes and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient financial information.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing practices and health care policies.
• Proven experience in medical billing or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing systems and procedures.
• Proficiency in computerized billing software and tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
