Billing Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Torrance, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers a dynamic opportunity within the manufacturing industry, where you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Responsibilities:

• Process and manage financial transactions, including vendor invoices and customer billing.

• Prepare and distribute invoices and credit memos for both commercial and government accounts.

• Review and approve expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in billing and payment processes.

• Collaborate with clients to address and resolve billing issues effectively.

• Escalate unresolved financial matters and propose solutions to prevent future occurrences.

• Maintain adherence to the company’s values of integrity, innovation, accountability, and teamwork.

• Demonstrate commitment to quality by reporting issues and participating in corrective actions.

• Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline billing operations.

• Assist with additional tasks as needed to support business objectives.

• Associate’s Degree in Finance or a related field preferred; Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.

Prefer candidates with exposure to manufacturing, defense, or government contracting, especially if they’ve dealt with T& M (Time & Materials) invoicing.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with automated accounting systems.

• Familiarity with Navision software is advantageous.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and functions.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Knowledge of government T& M invoicing is a plus.

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
