Associate

We are looking for a skilled Commercial Litigation Associate to join a boutique law firm in Chicago, Illinois. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters, including bankruptcy, mechanics liens, foreclosures, and construction-related cases. Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in commercial litigation cases, including bankruptcy, mechanics liens, foreclosure, and construction disputes.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to build strong cases and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
• Manage discovery processes, including depositions, document reviews, and interrogatories.
• Attend court hearings and advocate for clients effectively in both state and federal courts.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop legal strategies that align with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements throughout case proceedings.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
• Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations to provide accurate legal counsel.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation, with consideration for candidates outside this range.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy, mechanics liens, foreclosure, or construction law is highly preferred.
• Strong skills in drafting motions, conducting depositions, and managing civil litigation processes.
• Proven ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines with exceptional organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a client-focused approach.
• Commitment to growth and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
